Welcome New Physicians
Dorothea Murray, DO & John B. Groves, DO
Dorothea Murray, DO
Dr. Murray is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes the best care begins with a genuine connection. Her approach centers on understanding each patient as a whole person and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health. As both an advocate and a long-term partner in care, Dr. Murray works collaboratively with patients to navigate their unique health needs with clarity, respect, and compassion.
Dr. Murray graduated from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, D.O., Vallejo, California, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon.
John B. Groves, DO
Dr. Ben Groves is board-certified in Family Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2010 and earned his medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, MS. He completed residency in Danville, VA, at SOVAH Health, serving as chief resident in family medicine in his final year. From 2017 to 2020, he was on faculty at Sampson Regional Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency. From November 2020 to November 2025, he provided outpatient care to adult patients at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.
Dr. Groves is looking forward to an exciting career at Southern Oregon Internal Medicine. He believes medicine to be both science and art. With the careful application of the most proven science aspects being of utmost importance in providing safe, effective patient care.
He is happy to be in the Pacific Northwest. He looks forward to sharing such a beautiful place with his family: his wife, Dr. Kira Groves, their three children, and two Newfoundlands. He is thankful for all parts of life and the blessings thereof. He has interest in literature, storytelling, and mythologies. Before scheduling a visit with Dr. Ben Groves, you should know he has an Appalachian English/Southern Accent, as he is a native of Northeast, MS. There is nothing he can do to help that, just like his receding hairline (which he failed to help).
